The statues found at Us Woodcarver are mostly of American origin, and especially Northern California. We like to hold true to the definition of the word and only exhibit pieces under the Statue category that are life size or larger. Our Statues for sale are designed for the outdoors, but can be equally at home inside as well.
We employ a variety of finishing techniques that range from oils to burning, and a combination of many methods to achieve desired wood grain effects. Wood has a finite existence in the UV and humidity factors of the outdoors, making all wood art an ongoing maintenance duty unless it is allowed to weather naturally. We provide care instructions for all of the pieces we produce as well as the ability for our customers to have custom pieces made bare so they can perform their own desired treatment.
